in-the-gap

This image was taken on a David Ward workshop on composition. David had taken us to various locations within Whitby challenging our minds and eyes to finding and capturing some images with strong composition. I was drawn to the gap in the sandstone that was filled with pebbles brought in by the tide and also to the contours of lines within the sandstone itself. Almost map like.
